Why we are missing the stories of global woman leaders in deep tech?

Note: there is no statement I am making here, this is about exploratory work and asking critical questions.
My mentors are usually the public figures in tech and deep tech and mostly where I can learn from their stories they share on public forum. The stories I want to relate, draw wisdom, see whats possible and get curious for. Its about what drew them in the field to the unique things they built or brought with them. I am interested in the stories that are not by accident but they made it possible by sheer passion and hours of work in the field for the cause or global impact they care about.
Recenly have been at the conference, lot of smart women in finance, marketting, corporate governance, legal showed up. the topics were what do you offer that gives you the path to the board seat which is then the key to change or shape the industry from diverse set of perspecitve woman bring. While the board seats dont require you to be super technical, managerial they require you to have industry impact, persona, the connections, mantra, the unique offering that you can bring to table.
The woman who showed up, in the areas that I mentioned ( finance, marketting , coorporate afairs…etc.) were phenominal, but as always I noticed that the ones that already working in the below deep tech, innovation driven fields dont make or did not make to this conference and there are not many of that kind to have a seperate forum. So we have to go find one story at a time.
I would like to network, connect or remotely watch and refer to women mentors in the fields of impactful innovation and technology. My observation is that either woman dont prefer to get to the board or its hard. When they eventually get to the board, they still miss the avenues to tell their unique stories and built ups. Only hightest level of achievers on the global agenda get to tell the stories. Today’s social media, podcasts, twitter is full of stories of men’s stories and outlook, more in numbers. It matters because that indicated that woman have to create these forums themselves. To admit, I used to think that the mere work and choosing the right field will get you the seat at the table, to find the talent where you have to work and create a path with the individual’s success is not anyone’s agenda. In short, you have to be trhiving in what you do. finding the uniqueness that you can offer, build the muscle to get your unique perspective across and be out there all the time.
But how do women grow to have a seat at the table in the deep tech? I will explore that myself and will share with you stories of impactful leaders in the tech where humanity can benefit from our participation one place, one role, one decision at a time. cheers !
